"CIBA is a Swiss based company and we are manufacturers of chemicals and dye and sell to the textile and auto industries. We are both global and international and although we are based in Switzerland, we are also based in 70 countries around the world.

As a Swiss company, we initially thought that the Euro didn't impact us and that it was just one other currency to deal with. We read through the regulations and soon realised that triangulation was an issue for us after all, as about 30% of our business is in Europe. We realised that we had to do something, we couldn't sit back and let the Euro happen.

Millennium approached us and we quickly saw that they were quite in tune with the business needs and the business requirements of the Euro. We felt that if we could partner with Millennium, it would be a win-win situation for everybody, and in hindsight it was a very successful relationship.

From a technical view-point, EM4 sits on top of BPCS and doesn't change the core package. The software is designed in such a way that it fits in to the BPCS scope and there is very little that the users have to know, its very quick and very simple. It didn't take a lot of technical know-how from our side, the Millennium specialists simply came in and implemented. We were able to implement in the time frame required and saw the proof on the 1/1/99 when we started using the software and started billing our customers in Euro. We had a very successful partnership and the project went very smoothly.

I think the Euro will change the whole scope of our business climate, but with the help of EM4, CIBA are ready and able to cope with all calculations."
